The fig tree

D led devotions this morning. He had some very large leaves.  He then described fig trees and I had not realised that fig trees are very large indeed and bear fruit for ten month of the year, so when jesus was hungry and looked for fruit on one and was dissappointed to find none and cursed it.  This would have been unusual for the tree not to have fruit and he was not just cursing a little bush as I had imgined but a very large plant.

the passage then goes on to talk about prayer and say that if we have faith we can say to this mountain be cast in the sea and it will be done.  In other words we should pray with expectation of answers.

I have been praying for some things, and in at least one of them, the coming week will reveal the answer when i talk to K about a course of study
